ALEGORIA

I take the great masters of the 15th century as my teachers, I decide to observe them closely, study the figures, faces… to finally reveal an intimate and personal Renaissance, where the material recedes with elegance to make way for the imperishable world of mystical forms. I use the collage technique: with Valencian silks on a wooden support, I am inspired by Mediterranean art and take classical sculpture as a key reference in its most recent artistic manifestation. Details of unpainted or unpainted can be seen. Unlike what can be interpreted as an emptiness in the composition, unpainted is a strategy to create mystery: so that the receiver is the one who paints, who finishes the work with their gaze. The pictorial composition is totally studied, it is a play of tensions and weights in search of balance.
